TALKS & WORKSHOPS

+ 2 workshops dedicated to new materials presented by PV’s fashion team

Paris Good Fashion is an association founded in 2019 under the French Law of 1901, which is dedicated to driving change in the French fashion industry. Paris Good Fashion unites French industry players – brands, designers, experts, individuals – that are committed to co-creating concrete solutions for a more environmentally responsible fashion industry. The PGF motto? Making Paris the capital of more responsible fashion.

Première Vision has been committed to the eco-responsible transformation of the fashion sector since 2015 and is a member of Paris Good Fashion. In collaboration with the association, Première Vision wanted to create a brand new platform for ideas and discussions around the issues involved in more sustainable fashion, its progress and coming challenges.

THE TALKS PROGRAMME
PREMIÈRE VISION X PARIS GOOD FASHION

Tackling greenwashing: the proof is in the data

Amidst a sea of greenwashing and a proliferation of rankings and indexes deemed ever more advantageous, measuring is crucial to making progress. To do that, we need to rely on trustworthy and international scientific data. Yes, but which data? How do we collect it? From whom? On what scientific basis?

Speakers:

  • Antoine Gillod, Director of the Global Observatory of Climate Action / Climate Chance Association
  • Alban Fournier, Product Manager / (Ecobalyse) – beta.gouv.fr
  • Christophe Bocquet, Director of Quality, Responsible Sourcing and Traceability / Chloé
  • Moderated by Karine Vergniol / Journaliste

Talk in French. Duration: 1h

Collaboration, co-creation, co-construction… how can brands and manufacturers work together to meet fashion’s ecological challenge?

We can only succeed together. The time when a brand’s relationship to a manufacturer was confined to being merely an order-writer is over. Scope 3 accounts for over 90% of the industry’s greenhouse gas emissions. To accelerate the ecological transition, there must be a dialogue between manufacturers and brands. A dialogue based not only on transparency & traceability, but also on the building of trust and the sharing of knowledge in a spirit of goodwill. No one is the sole arbiter of the truth, and the only way to innovate and solve the concrete problems facing all players, brands and manufacturers is through co-creation.

Speakers:

  • Elie Khayat, CSR Director / Lectra
  • Laure Betsch, co-founder / Fairly Made®
  • Kachen Hong Zwart, Chief Sustainability Officer / Etam Group
  • Bruno Nahan, CEO / BUGIS
  • Moderated by Karine Vergniol / Journaliste

Talk in French with simultaneous translation in English. Duration: 1h

The ecological challenge from a high-volume perspective: what’s the best business model?

The fight against overconsumption and, therefore by extension overproduction, is one of tomorrow’s key challenges. If the sector is serious about addressing its urgent climate, environmental and social problems, it has to tackle the issue of volumes. Since the current business model is based exclusively on growth and profitability, this means rethinking the very way that businesses operate. OK, but how? What are the new business models? How can we protect jobs and ensure that companies continue to grow?

Speakers:

  • Julie Dugard, Climate Manager / BSR (Business for Social Responsibility)
  • Aurélien Oosterlinck, Coordinateur / Chaire Comptabilité Écologique
  • Sophie Pignères, fondatrice et CEO / Weturn
  • Moderated by Karine Vergniol / Journaliste

Talk in French. Duration: 1h
